Once Upon A Spring- For my digiscrap diva's!!

I'm in such a great mood!!  I got 3 loaves of soap done today!!  I also made some yummy organic goat milk soap that smells so good!!  It was a nice spring day today and my dad even came and mowed my lawn for me!  YAY dad!!

I wanted to talk briefly about why I stop digi scrap designing.  It just wasn't fun anymore.  So may requirements, so much politics, cliques and smack blogs.  It was just making me feel tired.  Trying to keep up with trends and designers accusing each other of theft.  I just wasn't any fun anymore you know??  While I would love love love to be in the digi community I don't think it's the place for me.  I know I still have quite a few fans that would love to have my work.  So I'll do this.  I'll start offering my kits on my blog....for free.  Old and new ones.  First I'll start with some of my older and more popular kits.  This also includes commercial stuff too.  Then I'll start offering things that I've been making that I've just kept for myself.  I won't say when I'm gonna offer something new because I don't know.  But I have loads and loads and loads of goodies.  Some of them are for print, some are just plain digi scrap kits and I also have fonts too.  Offering them for free and putting a smile on all your faces is fun!!

If you haven't heard please take a look at the previous post on my blog!!  I'm having a huge bath and body give away and all you have to do is post and follow my blog for a chance to win it!!  I have images of everything included!!  You don't want to miss out!!   I'll be choosing a random winner soon!!

So without further ado....We'll start with a pretty kit I made last spring called Once Upon A Spring.

Be sure to follow my blog and post post post comments for a chance to win the give away!!  The more you post, the more of a chance you have to win it!!

Contest!!!

It's really early in the morning and I can't sleep because I'm so excited!  I'm hosting a contest each and every month.  It's going to be called "Fragrance Of The Month".  Meaning each and every month I'm going to feature a new bath and body fragrance.  And also have a CONTEST!!  What does the winner get??  Well a free product  using the fragrance of the month of course.  Shipped to you for FREE as well.  The challenge will be different every month and the freebie will be as well.  I will also always throw in a small sample gift of the next months fragrance just for fun!!

And then every once in a while I'll do what I'm calling "The Ultimate Experience".   "The Ultimate Experience" is exactly what the name says, the ultimate experience!!  You will get a huge bath and body set featuring 4 different products along with the next month's fragrance sample!!  Shipped to you for FREE!!  This is going to be a random thing.  You never know when it will happen.

So!!  To celebrate the kick off to hopefully something fun and wonderful (fingers crossed!!), I decided what better way to start off my new adventure than to offer "The Ultimate Experience" with my personal absolute favorite fragrance in my collection!!  PINK SUGAR!!

Have you heard of this fragrance??  Well if you haven't, it's wonderful!!  I absolutely LOVE the scent and used it every single day.  I can't tell you how many compliments I've gotten from people.  "You smell so good!!  What is that?"  It's just so pleasant and feminine and not over powering.

With notes of cotton candy, caramel, lemon drops and raspberry, it's sure to tickle your nose.  It smells soooooo good!!  Here's what's included in this installment of "The Ultimate Experience".

Pink Sugar- Mega Bath Bomb Fizzie
This is a great product.  And it's HUGE.  Weighing in at about 7.5 oz.  All you do is drop it into your bath and watch it fizz away!!  It's moisturizing, because, as with all my bombs, I enriched it with vitamin e and shea butter.  And I've included pink sugar crystals and a sprinkle of glitter for fun.  You'll LOVE this!! And it makes your bath smell WONDERFUL.

Pink Sugar- Sugar Cube Scrubs
Another great product.  If you like sugar scrubs then you'll LOVE these.  I know they look completely edible but they're great for your skin.  Again, it's been enriched with shea butter and loaded with organic sugar for a wonderful exfoliation.  Just take one and smoosh it down into your hands and scrub your entire body with it.  I use one for my whole body.  But that's just me.  You get 8 total so knock yourself out!!  Or you can be like my mom and use a tiny bit to make them last longer!  LOL.

Pink Sugar- Cupcake Goat Milk Soap Bar
It wouldn't be fun if I didn't include something yummy!!  Is it me or are cupcakes all the rave right now??  Well you get this tempting and fragrant cupcake goat milk soap.  Goat milk is wonderful for the skin.  It's super moisturizing and creamy and has a rich lovely lather. Plus there's sprinkles and glitter on top!  What's better than that??

Pink Sugar- Whipped Cream Body Butter

Hand's down my favorite product.  I turned the jar on it's side to demonstrate how creamy this stuff is!!  I hand make the cream base in my kitchen in a double boiler.  It's precious to me, I say!!  I enrich this with some great stuff.  Avocado Butter, Mango Butter, Sunflower Butter, Shea Butter, Cocoa Butter, and Jojoba Butter.  So to say it's the best stuff ever is just an understatement.   It's creamy without being heavy and pore clogging.  So you don't feel all icky after you put it on.  It's leaves your skin glowing and...well... it smells like pink sugar!!  Hello.

And and extra goodie for good measure!!
Now what do you have to do to get all this stuff and when do you get it.  I'm gonna make it really easy this month.  The point of all this is to make new friends and get people to come and visit my blog.  The only way I know people are coming over is if you follow me over there in the side bar and if you post comments.  The goal is to try to blog about something every day but I doubt I'll be able to do that.  I'm going to do my very best though.

So all you need to do is follow my blog and post comments.  How easy is that?  It won't always be that simple but I thought I should keep it simple for the kick off, ya know?  The winner will be picked randomly by Saturday April 2.  Whoever wins will have to email me at btbdesigns@yahoo.com with her addy and I will ship out the box that following Monday.  It's that simple.  Also on that Monday, I will post the new Fragrance Of The Month along with the next freebie and what you will have to do to win it!!

I hope all that makes since and I hope you all have fun playing with me!!  I'm so excited!!  Take care and good luck!!

Happy on Wednesday

Here are some things that are making me happy today.  Thought I'd share them with you all!!

Peppermint Mocha--can you say YUM?!
My favorite ring (yeah I made it).
My Yorkie Maggie looking out the back door.
Then my buddy Oliver decided he wanted to sit at the
back door and told Maggie to go away.  He does that.

Ideas for the day:

(1) Go around to some of the little boutiques downtown and see if they would be interested in selling some of my handmade goodies in their stores.  I'd love to have about 5 of them that were regularly ordering items from me.  I'd really like to move the bath and body products around here.  I think they'd do really well here in this small town livin kinda community.

(2) Still need to brainstorm on a exclusive product I'd love to sell at Etsy.  I'm really leaning towards knitting as a permanent fixture.  Or sewing projects.  Hmmmm don't know.

(3)  Blog- oh yeah...doing that right now.

(4)  Work on some of my knitting projects.  I have so many to get done, yo.

(5)  Inquire about booth space at the local Flea Market.  I love that place

(6)  American Idol.  Is anyone else a junkie like me?  I have issues.  American Idol and Fringe.

Ok.  I'm off to be a good little worker bee!!

What I've been up to

I've been working so stinkin hard trying to get an etsy store up and running.  It's so much work!  And it seems like I have such a long way to go.  But I'm really proud of the items I have in there.  I have an array of things.  I'm not sure exactly what I want to do on a permanent basis so I'm trying out a lot of things and see which product does the best.  Which ever that is is what I'll stick with.  I have a hard time with things like this.  I want to make EVERYTHING.  I love EVERYTHING and it makes it difficult to pick a favorite.  I love to knit (love love love to knit), I love working with polymer clay, I love to sew, I love making bath and body products, I love print design, just everything creative and crafty and clever.  What's a girl to do?  Then I'll get a new idea and it's like I get an itch and I just have to explore the idea or I'll never get any sleep.

Here's a few of the things I've been working on:

 Sea Salt Sugar Scrubs
 Handmade goats milk soap bars
Cowl (who doesn't love a cowl I'd like to know?)
 Knitted pincushion

And I have so many more ideas!!  I  can't wait to get started on them.  I'd love some suggestions as to what to do about idea overload.  How do you juggle it all?  How do you find that one sure thing and then stick with that?

So much stuff

I think I may have a problem.  I'm an obsessed crafter.  Have you ever seen that show on I think it's TLC or something called "My Strange Addiction".  I think I need to be on that show.  I'm working on jewelry projects ( rings and earrings), 3 knitting projects (a sweater, cowl, and an adorable scarf), bath soaps and fizzies that look like cupcakes, and I have idea for a draft stopper for a door or window, I have an idea for some pot holders, and eye masks and countless other things.  I'm like wow man.  And my studio was a disaster zone.  I got it all cleaned and organized and I'm happy about that.  And I managed to photograph and get some goodies into my etsy shop finally!!  And I have so so so much more coming!!

I've had this fun little freebie made for a while now and thought I'd share it here for everyone.  It's a hand drawn font I made to call Hoity Toity.  I know it's a silly name but it's fitting I think.  It's a fun and playful font.  It would look great on a greeting card.  Just click on the image to download.

I have some inspiration boards coming soon for your enjoyment and a fun and easy knitting pattern.  Until then, Happy Crafting!!

New Beginnings

I've decided to start a blog dedicated to my love of handmade crafts.  All things vintage and kitschy and quirky and crooked and made with love by hand.  I know there are probably millions of blogs out there with the exact same premise.  But everything offered on this blog from myself is FREE (with the exception of my etsy items). I'm a total sucker for print design (ie...which is why I'm a graphic designer I guess, huh?) and can't wait to share some of my fun stuff!!

There will also be free knit patterns and other various craft tutorials of things I'm always working on.  Along with cool finds, hopefully in the future, I will have goodies from other handmade gods and goddesses.   Or at least I'll be able to pass along the party favors at any rate.

There will be give away's and and contests and challenges and just loads of fun!  I hope you stop by and take a look and maybe add this blog to your current blog roll and make it a daily read.
